Working with two MPs in Ottawa, Peter led a Waterloo Region wide campaign in support of a national housing strategy, endorsed by the Region of Waterloo. This work earned Peter a spot on 2009’s Waterloo Region Top 40 Under 40. As a candidate in the 2011 federal election, Peter led his party to their best showing in Kitchener Centre in nearly 30 years. Peter has also served as campaign manager for the 2011 provincial campaign of Cameron Dearlove, who followed up his run with a highly organized campaign for Waterloo Regional Council in 2014, during which Peter served as co-campaign manager responsible for media and communications outreach.
Peter is an accomplished opinion editorial writer, having first joined the Waterloo Region Record Community Editorial Board in 2011. Since then he has provided columns for the Guelph Mercury, the Waterloo Region Record, and the National Post. Peter has also provided ghostwriting services on opinion-editorial columns to C-Level non-profit executives.
